Registered Tangible Cultural Property "Mise Doi Family Residence"

Share Space Doimise, a coworking and share office utilizing the "Doi-Mise House," a registered tangible cultural property, is a guide to the local community. While the architecture still conveys the history of Owase, which flourished in the forestry industry, it can be used as a base during your stay in Owase with the ease of visiting the family home of a colleague or friend from an old family in a local port town. With the introduction of devices compatible with the next generation Wi-Fi 6 standard, remote work is possible using high-speed connections. Portable Wi-Fi is also available for rent, so you can use not only "Share Space Doimise" but also other places in the city as your workspace, such as cafes in fishing villages, by the waves, in virgin forests, etc.

Keiko Kijima

I am Keiko Kijima of the NPO Owase Livelihood Support Center, which manages the "Share Space Doimise," a co-working space and shared office, of which there are still very few in southern Mie Prefecture. The "Mise Doi Family Residence," a registered tangible cultural property built in 1931 as the residence of one of Owase's leading forestry families, is being used as a base for people who agree with our philosophy to pass it on to future generations. During your work vacation at the Japanese modernism building located along the Kumano Kodo World Heritage Site, we will be happy to guide you to meet and interact with local people and enjoy the unique local "Owase lifestyle" in Owase, the "City of Rain".
